NAPA’s 2018 Fundraising Drive for Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund

NAPA ‘Get Back and Give Back’ promotion has raised $10M for Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund

NAPA 2018 Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund Drive

In just 6 years, NAPA’s “Get Back and Give Back” campaign has raised more than $10 million for the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund (IFHF). And this year, we’ll be raising even more for our Veterans.

How does it work?

First, NAPA is offering $15, $20 and $25 mail-in rebates to consumers on qualifying NAPA batteries, alternators and starters purchased between July 1 and Aug 31.

Then, NAPA will donate $1 to IFHF for each battery purchased, for every battery installed by a NAPA AutoCare Center, and for every consumer rebate redeemed.

Since 2000, IFHF has provided nearly $200 million in support for families of military personnel lost in service and for those severely wounded in service in Afghanistan and/or Iraq.

Their good work includes:

  • In 2007, they opened a world-class physical rehabilitation center at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas.
  • In 2010, they opened the National Intrepid Center of Excellence (NICoE) on the Navy campus in Bethesda, Md. for the research, diagnosis and treatment of traumatic brain injuries and psychological health conditions.
  • In 2013, they opened two NICoE Satellite Centers. One at Ft. Belvoir in Virginia and the other at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina.
  • In 2016, they opened the Intrepid Spirit Center at Fort Bragg, NC.

Five centers are now open and two are under construction. Each center is approximately 25,000 square feet and costs approximately $12 million to build and equip.

Consumers will also have the opportunity to donate their mail-in rebates to the fund.
